The Los Angeles Kings have agreed to a one-year, two-way deal ($775,00) with centre Tyler Madden, the team announced on Monday.
Madden, 24, spent the 2023-24 season with the Ontario Reign of the AHL, logging a career-high 34 points (15 goals, 19 assists) to go with a plus-four rating. It marked the Albany, N.Y. native's third 30-point, double-digit season.
All four of Madden's AHL seasons have come with the Reign, recording 103 points (50 goals, 53 assists) during that span through 204 games. The 5-foot-1, 170-pound forward also appeared in 14 Calder Cup Playoff games with Ontario, posting five goals and two assists.
Madden was originally drafted 68th overall in 2018 by the Vancouver Canucks and was acquired by the Kings via trade in 2020.
