The Los Angeles Kings are adding some depth down the middle.
Centre Cole Guttman is heading home to Los Angeles after signing a two-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 in average annual value at the NHL level, the team announced Wednesday.
Guttman, 26, has spent the last three seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, splitting time between the NHL and AHL levels.
He spent the entirety of last season in the AHL with the Rockford IceHogs, tallying 23 goals and 34 assists in 70 regular-season games and adding five assists in seven post-season games.
In 41 career appearances at the NHL level with the Blackhawks, Guttman has eight goals and six assists.
The native of Northridge, Calif. was drafted by the Tampa Bay Lightning 180th overall in the sixth round of the 2017 NHL Draft.
