The Los Angeles Kings signed forward Lias Andersson to a one-year, two-way contract worth just shy of $875,000 on Friday.
The 22-year-old split the 2020-21 season between the Kings and AHL’s Ontario Reign, recording six points in 23 NHL games and 17 points in 15 AHL contests. He'll remain a restricted free agent at the conclusion of this contract.
Andersson was acquired by the Kings from the New York Rangers last October in exchange for a second-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft.
The Smogen, Sweden native never managed to find a full-time spot in the Rangers lineup after being selected seventh overall in 2017.
