The Los Angeles Kings have agreed to a two-year contract with forward Jeff Malott, with an average annual value of $775,000, the team announced on Monday.
Malott, 27, spent the majority of his previous season with the Winnipeg Jets' AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose. The 2023-24 campaign was the most productive of his professional career, finishing the year with 22 goals and career-best totals in assists (3) and points (52) through 70 games.
It was his third consecutive 40-point campaign in the AHL. Through 237 career regular season games, the 6-foot-4, 201-pound forward has recorded 157 points (82 goals, 75 assists) and a plus-17 rating.
Malott has also appeared in 12 Calder Cup Playoff games for Manitoba, notching two goals in that span.
The Burlington, Ont. native made one NHL appearance during the 2021-22 season.
