Taylor Ward is staying put.
The Los Angeles Kings announced Monday that the forward has signed a two-year contract extension with an average annual value of $875,000.
The 27-year-old Kelowna, B.C., native has two goals and two assists in nine games with L.A. this season, as well as 12 goals and nine assists in 32 games for the Ontario Reign, the Kings' AHL affiliate.
Ward made his NHL debut last season on April 17 against the Calgary Flames, scoring his first goal in the contest.
Undrafted, he was originally signed as a free agent by Los Angeles on March 19, 2022, after playing in the NCAA for the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
