Mason Marchment is heading to the Pacific Northwest.
The Seattle Kraken acquired the forward from the Dallas Stars in exchange for a 2025 fourth-round pick and a 2026 third-round pick, the team announced Thursday.
Marchment, 30, spent the past three seasons with the Stars after signing a four-year, $18 million contract in July 2022. Through 211 games with Dallas, Marchment scored 56 goals and registered 131 points.
Prior to joining the Stars, Marchment spent two seasons with the Florida Panthers and suited up for four games with the Toronto Maple Leafs, who signed the forward to an AHL contract as an undrafted free agent.
Daily Faceoff's Frank Seravalli reported that the Stars won't retain any salary on Marchment's contract, which has one year remaining with a $4.5 million cap hit.
