The Seattle Kraken added to their blue line depth by agreeing to a deal with free-agent Connor Carrick.
According to the team, the one-year contract is worth $800,000.
Carrick, 27, has appeared in 241 regular season games over seven NHL seasons with the Capitals, Maple Leafs, Stars and Devils. Last season in New Jersey, the right-shooting defenceman had two points in 11 games while averaging over 18 minutes per appearance.
"Connor is a mobile, dependable defenseman who will be helpful to our team in all facets of the game," Kraken general manager Ron Francis said in a statement. "His skill set and experience will make him a valuable asset to our organization."
