Ryan Winterton is staying in Seattle.
Winterton and the Kraken agreed to a two-year, $2.25-million extension, the team announced on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old forward is in the midst of his best season in the NHL, totalling three goals and 12 assists in 54 games while averaging 11:38 of ice time a night.
"Ryan has taken big strides as a member of the Kraken this season, said general manager Jason Botterill in a statement. "He's been able to carve out a role on this team with his speed and strong two-way game. We're excited to have him under contract through the 2027-28 season."
Winterton, a third-round selection by the club in 2021, played 21 NHL games over his first two seasons, notching an assist.
Last season in the AHL, the Markham, Ont., native logged 37 points (18 goals, 19 assists) in 56 games before scoring two post-season goals.
Winterton is the latest forward to receive an extension from the Kraken on Tuesday after Ben Meyers re-upped on a two-year, $2-million deal.
