The Seattle Kraken have locked up their lone remaining unsigned player from last season.
Seattle agreed to terms on a two-year, $4.1 million contract with restricted free agent Ryker Evans on Monday, the team announced.
The defenceman recorded five goals and 25 assists in 73 games with the Kraken last season. Evans also led Kraken defencemen in hits with 123.
“Ryker took a positive step forward in his first full season in the NHL,” Kraken general manager Jason Botterill said in a statement. “Since turning pro, he's shown improvement year over year, and we're confident he'll take his game to another level next season. We're happy to have him under contract."
Evans made his NHL debut with the Kraken in 2023-24 when he appeared in 36 games.
The Calgary native was selected 35th overall by Seattle in the 2021 NHL Draft.
