The Seattle Kraken are picking up a productive WHL free agent.
Seattle has signed Forward Ryden Evers to a three-year entry-level contract worth $3.225 million ($1.075 million in average annual value), the team announced Sunday.
The deal will start in the 2026-27 season.
“We’re excited to have Ryden join our organization,” Kraken general manager Jason Botterill said in a release. “His development has continued to improve over the years, turning him into a responsible two-way centre that brings size and skill to the group.”
Evers, 20, has enjoyed a productive season with the Penticton Vees, tallying 31 goals and 38 assists in 60 games in the team's inaugural WHL season. He's second in points on the Vees behind rookie Jacob Kvasnika.
Before lacing up in the WHL, the Burnaby, B.C., native played in the BCHL with the Vees and the Surrey Eagles.
