The Seattle Kraken signed restricted free agent Carsen Twarynski to a one-year, two-way contract worth $750,000, the club announced Friday.
The 23-year-old forward from St. Albert, Alta., was Seattle’s selection from the Philadelphia Flyers in last month’s NHL expansion draft.
“Carsen plays a physical, high-energy game and we like his tenacity and willingness to compete,” Seattle Kraken General Manager Ron Francis said in a media release. “He plays a responsible game and we like his motor.”
Twarynski played 22 games with Philadelphia over the past two seasons recording one goal. He was drafted in the third round, 82nd overall, by the Flyers in 2016.
