The Seattle Kraken have signed defenceman Gustav Olofsson to a two-year, two-way contract with an AAV of $775,000, the team announced Tuesday.
Olofsson, 28, spent the majority of the 2022-23 season with the Kraken's AHL affiliate, the Coachella Valley Thunderbirds, recording six points (one goal and five assists) in 20 games.
Originally drafted by the Minnesota Wild in 2013, Olofsson has played 62 career games in the NHL, collecting 11 points (all assists).
The new contract sees Olofsson earn $350,000 in the minors, though he has a guaranteed salary of $400,000 for both years.
