Seattle Kraken defenceman Brian Dumoulin exited Monday's game against the New Jersey Devils with a lower-body injury and will not return, the club announced.
He sustained the injury in the first period, when Dumoulin was on the receiving end of a reverse hit from Timo Meier that appeared to catch his leg in an awkward spot.
Dumoulin skated off the ice on his own. There was no penalty assessed on the play.
The 32-year-old signed with the Kraken as a free agent in the 2023 off-season after spending 10 seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins. In 50 games this year, Dumoulin has four goals and seven assists in 16:27 TOI.
