Lawrence Pilut signs one-year, $750K deal with Sabres

Defenceman Lawrence Pilut is returning to the Buffalo Sabres.

Pilut signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $750,000 with the club, the team announced Friday.

The Swedish defenceman played for Chelyabinsk Traktor of the KHL the past two years.

From 2018 to '20, Pilut was with the Sabres organization, playing for Buffalo and Rochester of the AHL.

Pilut, 26, has one goals and five assists in 46 career games with Buffalo.
