Andersen hasn't suited up in the NHL since March 19. The 31-year-old returned to Maple Leafs practice on Monday following a pair of conditioning appearances with the AHL's Toronto Marlies, stopping 46 of 52 shots against over a game and a half.
Andersen is 13-8-2 in 23 games this season with a 3.77 goals-against average and a .885 save percentage.
Forward Nick Foligno and defenceman Justin Holl will both be game-time decisions on Wednesday. Acquired ahead of the trade deadline, Foligno has missed the Leafs' last two games with an upper-body injury. Holl missed practice on Monday with an undisclosed injury.
Wednesday's contest in Ottawa is the penultimate game of the season for the Leafs, who clinched the North Division title over the weekend.
