Lighting star Brayden Point out of lineup for Game 3 vs. Islanders

Tampa Bay Lightning star Brayden Point will be out of the lineup for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final against the New York Islanders.

Point, who leads all remaining players in the playoffs in scoring, was unable to finish Game 2 after suffering an undisclosed injury early in the second period.

The Lighting will also be without winger Alex Killorn after he was suspended for a hit on Brock Nelson in Game 2. Mitchell Stephens and Carter Verhaeghe have been inserted into the lineup in their place.

The Islanders will also be without a forward as Casey Cizikas did not dress for the game with an undisclosed injury, while Andrew Ladd will be a healthy scratch after playing in Game 2. Derick Brassard and Michael Dal Colle will enter the lineup in their place.

Semyon Varlamov will start in net for the Islanders while Andrei Vasilevsky will be in net for the Lightning.
