The 2026 Stadium Series will be contested in style.
On Thursday, the NHL revealed its unique threads for the upcoming Stadium Series matchup between the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning at Raymond James Stadium.
The uniforms were designed in collaboration with both teams and the league and feature designs native to both franchises' heritage, with distinct regional elements, while also honouring the game's unique setting.
“The NHL Stadium Series will be a landmark event for the Lightning, our fans, and the entire Bay Area — a moment that deserves a truly special jersey,” Kevin Preast, chief venue officer for the Lightning and Vinik Sports Group, said in a press release.
Tampa Bay's jersey features a two-tone design with their current royal blue, along with a new sky blue, and is "incorporating the powerful lightning bolt texture with pirate-inspired accents."
Boston's jersey pays homage to its neighbouring New England Patriots with the font mirroring the six-time Super Bowl champions' style. It is also set to include a bear claw slash and an "iconic varsity B" that resembles their historic tough brand of hockey.
The Stadium Series tilt is scheduled for Feb. 1, 2026, at the home of the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is the second of two outdoor hockey games taking to the Sunshine State. The first will be held on Jan. 2, 2026, between the Florida Panthers and the New York Rangers at loanDepot Park in Miami.
They will be the first outdoor NHL games played in Florida, with the festivities being held to commemorate the growth of hockey in the area over the last 30 years.
