Steven Santini is sticking with the Tampa Bay Lightning after signing a two-year, two-way contract on Tuesday.
Santini was set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1 after joining the Bolts on a one-year deal last summer.
The 30-year-old from Bronxville, N.Y., appeared in one game with the Lightning during the regular season and spent the majority of the year with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
He recorded 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) in 58 AHL games and added one assist in three Calder Cup playoff games.
Santini was drafted in the second round, 42nd overall, by the New Jersey Devils in 2013.
He has 23 points (five goals, 18 assists) in 124 career games with the Devils, Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues and Lightning.
