Lightning re-sign forward Mitchell Stephens to two-year contract

The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-signed forward Mitchell Stephens to a two-year contract, the team announced Wednesday.

The contract has an average annual value of $735,500.

Stephens, 23, made his NHL debut on Dec. 9, 2019. He recorded three goals and six points in 38 games with the Lightning during the 2019-20 regular season.

The Peterborough, Ont., native also posted five goals and 10 points in 24 games with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch this season.

The Lightning drafted Stephens in the second round of the 2015 NHL Draft, 33rd overall.
