The Tampa Bay Lightning are keeping forward Gage Goncalves after all.
Tampa Bay announced Tuesday that the team re-signed Goncalves to a two-year, $2.4 million contract.
Goncalves did not receive a qualifying offer and was briefly an unrestricted free agent.
The 24-year-old from Mission, B.C., recorded 20 points (eight goals and 12 assists) in 60 games during the regular season and added four points (one goal and three assists) in five playoff games.
He also had 18 points (five goals and 13 assists) in 14 games with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch.
Goncalves was drafted in the second round, 62nd overall, by the Lightning in 2020.
