The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed veteran defenceman Calvin de Haan to a one-year, $775,000 contract, the team announced Sunday.
De Haan had two goals and 10 assists in 53 games with the Carolina Hurricanes last season.
He was drafted 12th overall by the New York Islanders in 2009. The 32-year-old from Carp, Ont., has 131 career points (21 goals and 110 assists) over 11 seasons with the Islanders, Hurricanes and Chicago Blackhawks.
