The Tampa Bay Lightning have re-signed defenceman Jan Rutta to a two-year deal worth $2.6 million.

Rutta appeared in 33 regular-season games with the Lightning in 2019-20, recording a goal and seven points with a plus-6 rating. He also suited up in five playoff games, picking up an assist during Tampa Bay's Stanley Cup run.

The Czech Republic native has skated in 127 career NHL games between Tampa Bay and the Chicago Blackhawks. Rutta was acquired from the Blackhawks by trade in 2019.
