Jakob Pelletier is heading to the Sunshine State.
The former Calgary Flames forward signed a three-year deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported on Wednesday.
Pelletier, who was originally selected 26th overall by the Flames at the 2019 Draft, was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers as part of the deal that sent Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee to Calgary.
A pending restricted free agent, Pelletier was not tendered a qualifying offer from the Flyers and thus hit the open market.
In 86 career NHL games, the Quebec City native has 11 goals and 29 points, including a career-high seven goals and 19 points in 49 games split between the Flames and Flyers last season.
