The Tampa Bay Lightning have added a depth forward.
Pontus Holmberg signed a two-year, $3.1-million contract, the team announced on Tuesday.
The fourth-year winger tallied 19 points (seven goals and 12 assists) in 68 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season.
Holmberg, 26, has played in 19 career playoff games for the Maple Leafs, registering a single assist and averaging just over 12 minutes of ice time.
The Vasteras, Sweden native was selected in the sixth round, 156th overall by the Maple Leafs in the 2018 NHL Draft and spent his first three seasons in Toronto.
