Lightning's Alex Killorn was sidelined with broken fibula during Cup Final

Alex Killorn joins Kyle Bukauskas after winning the Stanley Cup and discusses what kept him out of the lineup and how he was trying to get back in despite recent surgery on his broken fibula.

Alex Killorn missed most of the Stanley Cup Final due to a broken fibula, he revealed after the Tampa Bay Lightning's Cup-clinching win in Game 5.

Killorn, who didn't suit up after Game 1 against the Montreal Canadiens when he blocked a Jeff Petry shot, was considered doubtful prior to Wednesday's pre-game warmups but was ultimately ruled out.

Killorn went on to say he underwent surgery last week to have a rod inserted into his leg and hoped to play if the series required a Game 6 or 7.

The 31-year-old had eight goals and 17 points in 19 post-season games for the Lightning.
