Tampa Bay Lightning star Brayden Point will be a game-time decision for Game 6 against the New York Islanders Thursday.
Point, who is tied with Nikita Kucherov and Nathan MacKinnon for the playoff scoring lead, has been dealing with an undisclosed injury for most of the series.
He was originally injured in Game 2 and missed Game 3 as a result. However, he did return in Game 4 where he potted two points but was unable to finish the contest. He was not in the lineup for Tuesday’s Game 5 double-overtime loss.
The Lightning currently lead the Eastern Conference Final 3-2 and will have a second chance to advance to the Stanley Cup Final Thursday night. The game can be seen on Sportsnet, CBC and SN Now at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT.
