Andrei Vasilevskiy is back.
The Tampa Bay Lightning's star goaltender will make his return to the lineup for Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Kings, head coach Jon Cooper confirmed.
Vasilevskiy has missed the past seven games with an undisclosed injury. In 19 starts this season, the goaltender owns an 11-6-2 record along with a 2.31 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage.
Vasilevskiy won't be the only player to make his return on Thursday, as Cooper also expects defenceman Ryan McDonagh to play after missing the past 18 games.
McDonagh, 36, hasn't played since Nov. 8 due to a lower-body injury. He has three goals and three assists in 15 games this season.
Tampa Bay will remain without forward Bradon Hagel against the Kings, as the forward is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
The Lightning enter Thursday's game against the Kings third in the Atlantic Division with an 18-12-3 record.
