Kailer Yamamoto is staying in Utah.
The Mammoth re-signed the 27-year-old forward to a two-year, $3.5 million contract on Monday, the team announced.
“Kailer is a versatile forward that wins battles and can produce offence for us,” said Mammoth GM Bill Armstrong in a statement. “Kailer is important to our team and we are thrilled that he will return to the Mammoth.”
Yamamoto recorded 13 goals and 10 assists in 59 games with the Mammoth last season.
The Spokane, Wash., native has 73 goals and 87 assists over 374 career NHL games with the Mammoth, Seattle Kraken and Edmonton Oilers.
Edmonton selected Yamamoto with the 22nd overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.
