The Utah Mammoth are adding some offensive depth.
Utah announced Monday that it has signed forward Kevin Rooney to a one-year, two-way contract, which is worth $775,000 at the NHL level.
Rooney, 32, appeared in 70 games for the Calgary Flames during the 2024-25 season, registering five goals and 10 points while averaging just under 10 minutes of ice time.
A left-shot centre, Rooney also played in five games in the AHL.
Rooney has played 330 career games in the NHL, spending time with the Flames, New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils. His career-best campaign came in 2020-21 with the Rangers, when he scored eight goals and 14 points.
The Mammoth will kick off their second season in Utah on Thursday night when they visit the Colorado Avalanche.
