Utah Mammoth's Connor Ingram can make his hockey return ahead of training camp.
The joint NHL/NHLPA player assistance program said on Wednesday that the goaltender is cleared to make his return to the NHL.
Ingram entered the player assistance program in March after his mother died of breast cancer in December.
"At this point in my life, I need to put my health first and (to) take the proper time I need away to come back at 100 per cent," said Ingram in a social media post on March 9.
Before entering the program, the 28-year-old Canadian goaltender was with the AHL's Tucson Roadrunners to begin what was believed to be a rehab stint from an upper-body injury. Upon his return to Utah, Ingram revealed he was on a leave of absence due to his mother's death.
Ingram had previously spent time in the league's assistance program during his time with the Nashville Predators in 2021 and has been open about his undiagnosed obsessive-compulsive disorder that led to drinking.
Ingram was 9-8-4 with a 3.27 goals-against average to go with an .882 save percentage last season.
