The Utah Mammoth traded forward Matias Maccelli to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday in exchange for a conditional third-round pick in 2027.
A change of scenery could help rejuvenate Maccelli. The 24-year-old from Turku, Finland, had a down season in 2024-25 and was a frequent healthy scratch down the stretch with 18 points (eight goals, 10 assists) in 55 games.
He set career highs the year before with 57 points (17 goals, 40 assists) in 82 games.
Maccelli was drafted in the fourth round, 98th overall, by the Arizona Coyotes in 2019.
