Maple Leafs assign Galchenyuk to Marlies; recall Liljegren to taxi squad

The Toronto Maple Leafs have assigned forward Alex Galchenyuk and defenceman Martin Marincin to the AHL's Toronto Marlies and have re-assigned defenceman Timothy Liljegren and forward Kenny Agostino to the taxi squad.

Galchenyuk has not played for Toronto since being acquired in a trade from the Carolina Hurricanes. The forward has one goal in eight games this season.

Liljegren has enjoyed a strong start to his season in the AHL with the Marlies, recording six points in eight games. In eight games in the AHL, Agostino has seven points.

Marincin has not suited up in a game for the Leafs this season.
