Maple Leafs' Bogosian will miss 'more than a week' due to injury

Toronto Maple Leafs' Zach Bogosian loses footing and falls awkwardly into the boards, slow to get up.

Toronto Maple Leafs defenceman Zach Bogosian will miss "more than a week," according to head coach Sheldon Keefe, due to an injury suffered in Tuesday's game against the Vancouver Canucks.

Keefe didn't provide any further details on the nature of the injury.

Bogosian was injured during the second period of Tuesday's 6-3 loss in Vancouver when he lost his footing while skating into the corner and slammed awkwardly into the boards. The 30-year-old left the game in clear discomfort.

In 44 games for the Leafs this season, Bogosian has four points while averaging 14:40 of ice time.
