Maple Leafs expect to be without Nylander for at least 7 days

Maple Leafs' Zach Bogosian, Mitch Marner and Morgan Rielly discuss the unfortunate news that William Nylander has been put in the COVID-19 protocols, and how they've been doing their part to make sure there will be no other concerns within the team.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are expecting to be without forward William Nylander for at least seven days due to the NHL's COVID-19 protocols.

The 24-year-old had exposure to a possible positive COVID-19 case with a close contact outside the team.

Nylander was on the ice for the Maple Leafs’ morning skate Wednesday but, as Sportsnet’s Chris Johnston reported, the early indication was the incubation period from when his possible exposure to when he skated with his teammates isn’t believed to have been long enough for him to be considered contagious.

Toronto’s game against Montreal on Wednesday was played without delay.

Nylander has 13 goals and 30 points in 39 games this season.
