The Toronto Maple Leafs will have one of their top players back in the lineup Tuesday.
After missing Saturday's game against the Colorado Avalanche to celebrate the birth of his son, Tucker, John Tavares rejoined the team in Salt Lake City on Monday ahead of the team's tilt Tuesday with the Utah Mammoth, Sportsnet's Luke Fox reported.
Tavares had been away from the Maple Leafs since Friday.
Through five games played this season, Tavares has a goal and three points.
Toronto is in the midst of a three-game Western Conference road trip that will conclude Tuesday against the Mammoth (9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT on Sportsnet+). The Leafs have recorded a 1-0-1 record on the trip.
