Maple Leafs' Kossila, Sabres' Dea placed on waivers

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Kalle Kossila and Buffalo Sabres forward Jean-Sebastien Dea were placed on waivers on Monday, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston and Elliotte Friedman report.

Kossila registered three goals and six points in 12 games with the AHL's Toronto Marlies last season. The 27-year-old has played 19 games in the NHL, scoring two goals and an assist with the Anaheim Ducks over three seasons.

Kossila was signed by Toronto as a free agent in July of 2019.

Dea, 26, appeared in three games for the Sabres last season. He scored 15 goals and 39 points in 57 games with the AHL's Rochester Americans during the 2019-20 season.

In his NHL career, Dea has five goals and seven points in 32 games over five seasons. The undrafted forward was signed as a free agent by Buffalo in July of 2019.
