Maple Leafs loan Der-Arguchintsev to KHL's Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod

The Toronto Maple Leafs have loaned forward Semyon Der-Arguchintsev to the KHL's Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod, the team announced Monday.

Der-Arguchintsev, a native of Moscow, had 75 points in 55 games with the OHL's Peterborough Petes last season, putting him second to only fellow Leafs prospect Nick Robertson (86 points in 46 games) in team scoring.

The 2018 third-round pick (76th overall) turned 20 on Sept. 15 and would've been eligible to suit up for the Maple Leafs' AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, but the league's current target start date for the 2020-21 season is Dec. 4.
