It's the first day of training camp, but the Toronto Maple Leafs are already at less than full strength.
Forward Max Domi is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, general manager Brad Treliving told reporters on Wednesday.
Domi suffered a tweak in recent weeks and won't be a full participant to start camp, Treliving said.
The 30-year-old Winnipeg native played 74 games for Toronto last season, notching eight goals and 25 assists.
His play then went up a level in the playoffs, where he recorded seven points (three goals, four assists) in 13 games.
Domi is being counted on this season to replace some of the offence lost with Mitch Marner's departure for Vegas.
