Max Domi's readiness for next season is in question.
The Toronto Maple Leafs forward is out indefinitely due to complications arising from off-season surgery, the team announced on Monday.
He will be re-evaluated at the start of training camp, the team said. No other details on the injury or the surgery were provided by the team.
Domi, 31, played 80 games for the Maple Leafs last season, registering 12 goals and 24 assists.
The Winnipeg native is under contract through the 2027-28 season at $3.75 million annually.
Selected 12th overall by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2013 NHL Draft, Domi has 486 points (150 goals, 336 assists) in 815 career regular-season games with Arizona, Montreal, Columbus, Carolina, Chicago, Dallas and Toronto.
