Nicolas Roy will not be seeing the ice anytime soon.
The Toronto Maple Leafs centre was placed on injured reserve retroactive to Nov. 15, the team announced on Thursday.
Roy, 28, missed Toronto's win over St. Louis on Tuesday, due to an upper-body injury sustained in the team's 3-2 loss to the Blackhawks on the 15th.
Roy joins a crowded injured reserve, featuring the likes of Auston Matthews, Anthony Stolarz, Chris Tanev and Brandon Carlo.
In other news, Maple Leafs centre Scott Laughton was activated from IR today, and is set to make his return against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday evening. Laughton had been out since Nov. 8.
