The Toronto Maple Leafs just can't seem to stay healthy.
On the night John Tavares and Matthew Knies returned to the lineup, defenceman Oliver Ekman-Larsson exited after the second period against the Edmonton Oilers with a lower-body injury Saturday.
It wasn't immediately apparent when Ekman-Larsson was hurt.
After the Leafs' win, coach Craig Berube said Ekman-Larsson was day-to-day.
The veteran blue-liner has three goals and 18 assists in 51 games this season.
Ekman-Larsson signed a four-year, $14-million deal with the Leafs prior to this season, following a Stanley Cup triumph with the Florida Panthers.
