Maple Leafs' Ondrej Kase exits game vs. Predators after taking elbow to head

Watch as Toronto Maple Leafs forward Ondrej Kase collides with Nashville Predators forward Matt Duchene and heads to the locker room after sustaining a possible head injury.

Toronto Maple Leafs winger Ondrej Kase exited Saturday's game after taking an elbow from Nashville Predators' Matt Duchene to the head.

Kase was cutting through the neutral zone to challenge Duchene for the puck when the Predators forward appeared to shrug his shoulder just as Kase attempted the body check, taking an elbow to his head upon impact.

Kase collapsed immediately and had trouble staying on his feet as he headed off the ice before getting assistance from the Leafs' training staff and going straight to the room to enter concussion protocol. He has a lengthy history of head injuries.

In 49 games this season, Kase has 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 points.
