Toronto Maple Leafs forwards Mitch Marner and Pierre Engvall have entered the NHL's COVID-19 protocol, the team announced Friday.

Forwards Joey Anderson and Brett Seney will be called up from the AHL's Toronto Marlies to join the taxi squad.

Before the additions of Marner and Engvall, the Leafs had cleared all players off the protocol list after experiencing an outbreak last month.

Marner returned to the lineup last Saturday after being out since Dec. 2 with an upper-body injury.

The Leafs are scheduled to play the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday in Denver.
