Bo Groulx is returning to the NHL in time to face his former team.
The Toronto Maple Leafs recalled the forward ahead of Monday's game against the Anaheim Ducks (Sportsnet Ontario, Sportsnet+, 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT).
Groulx has impressed in nine games with the Maple Leafs this season, registering three goals and two assists with a plus-five mark.
The 26-year-old from Gatineau, Que., played 15:29 per game during his previous call-up.
Groulx skated in 63 games for the Ducks prior to joining the Leafs last off-season, recording one goal and four assists.
He was originally sent down to help the AHL's Toronto Marlies and so as not to require waivers upon playing a 10th game, but the emergency recall does not count toward that.
