Puck drop of Sunday's game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Detroit Red Wings has been delayed, the NHL announced.
Originally scheduled to start at 7 p.m. ET, the game is now expected to start at 7:52 p.m. ET.
Sportsnet's Shawn McKenzie reported mechanical issues with the Red Wings' plane and bad weather prevented the team from getting out of Detroit after Saturday's game against Los Angeles.
The Red Wings had to get a new plane and flew out Sunday afternoon. Also, the Red Wings' equipment was delayed getting into Toronto.
It's the second game of the season between the two clubs, but the first on North American soil. The Maple Leafs won the first meeting 3-2 back on Nov. 17 during the NHL's Global Series in Sweden.
