The Toronto Maple Leafs may be mixing up their forward corps.
Groulx has impressed in nine games with the Maple Leafs this season, registering three goals and two assists with a plus-five mark.
The 26-year-old from Gatineau, Que., has played 15:29 per game during his call-up.
Now, he'll head back to the Marlies ahead of a playoff push.
"He wanted to go down and help them and play. That’s a testament to his character and what he believes in, and how it all works, and he understands it. He's good," head coach Craig Berube said.
The Maple Leafs are back in action Saturday when they visit the St. Louis Blues (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+, 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT).
