Michael Pezzetta is coming home.
The Toronto-born forward has signed a two-year, $1.575 million deal to join the Maple Leafs, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported Tuesday.
According to Friedman, the deal is worth $775,000 in year one and $800,000 in year two.
Pezzetta, 27, has spent the entirety of his career with the Montreal Canadiens since being drafted 160th overall in the sixth round in 2016.
Over four seasons at the top level, he has tallied 15 goals and 23 assists for 38 points in 200 games. He has 710 hits in that time.
Last season, he was held without a point through 25 games but laid 73 hits despite only playing an average of 5:56 per night.
