A player from Union College is going to try to continue his hockey career near Toronto's Union Station.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed forward Brandon Buhr to a one-year contract, the team announced Wednesday.
The six-foot-two Buhr, 23, will join the AHL's Toronto Marlies for the rest of the 2025-26 season on an amateur tryout.
Buhr had 36 points (19 goals, 17 assists) in 35 NCAA games with Union this season. The Fort St. John, B.C., native had 88 points (49 goals, 39 assists) in 115 career NCAA games with Union and Clarkson.
