The Toronto Maple Leafs are down blue-liner.
Defenceman Simon Benoit is out for Thursday's game against the Golden Knights, and is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, the team announced.
Benoit has played 41 of the Leafs' 46 games this season, recording no goals and three assists.
A Laval, Que. native, Benoit is in third season with the Leafs. Prior to Toronto, he played for the Anaheim Ducks for three years.
Benoit has six goals and 27 assists in 320 career NHL games.
The Leafs are 23-16-7 heading into Thursday's contest, sixth in the Atlantic Division.
