Toronto Maple Leafs forward Ty Voit and Calgary Flames defenceman Joni Jurmo both cleared unconditional waivers on Wednesday, clearing the path for contract termination.
Per The Hockey News' David Alter, Voit's departure from the Maple Leafs was mutual and amicable.
Voit, 22, joined the Toronto organization in 2023-24, playing one AHL game before heading to the ECHL's Cincinnati Cylcones to play the majority of last season. He scored eight goals and registered 37 points in 63 games.
Voit was selected in the fifth round, 153rd overall, by the Maple Leafs at the 2021 NHL Draft.
Jurmo, 23, joined the Flames organization as part of the trade that sent forward Elias Lindholm to the Vancouver Canucks in 2024. He split the 2024-25 season between the AHL's Calgary Wranglers, and the ECHL's Rapid City Rush, where he two goals and 10 points in 12 games.
Both players are now free agents, eligible to sign with any team.
